The 2026 INTENSE Program Taiwan Higher Education Fair opened at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, organized by National Chung Hsing University, Cheng Shiu University, and Kun Shan University. The event brought together 15 Taiwanese universities, highlighting Taiwan’s growing influence in Southeast Asia and attracting Filipino students to study in Taiwan.
At the opening ceremony, officials from the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and representatives from both countries attended. Taiwan’s representative emphasized Taiwan’s strength in the semiconductor industry and its commitment to expanding opportunities for Filipino youth.
National Chung Hsing University noted that the program strengthens connections between Taiwan and the Philippines through closer university partnerships and flexible support systems.
The fair included consultation booths and interactive activities, helping students better understand study opportunities, language requirements, and campus life in Taiwan.
